What a week GW9 was for points. The big players like Son (14) and Salah (16) had good returns. Watkins hit 11 points, he has 70 for the season and he has returned in all but one game week. His score of 23 in GW7 is still the best.
Haaland returned 8 points which gives him 63 for the season. Less than last season.
How does the data look based on the best returns of GW9. The usual suspects are at the top and there are three players priced under £5 million who got double figures. 10 Players got double digit hauls. GW6 had the most double digit hauls so far this season.

Forward transfers
With the cost of assets and their returns what are managers doing. Lets look at a few. Haaland is still the most owned player but there appears to be a steady growth in ownership for Alvarez and Watkins.

If we look at the most popular bought in players we can see the following. As mentioned previously Watkins is popular but so is Douglas Luiz who returned 16 points in GW9. Its no surprise Villa and Newcastle players are up there as they are playing really good. Newcastle have scored more FPL points than any other team 506 so far, Man city are at 443, Liverpool 422, Spurs 480, Arsenal 470 and Villa 452

But for players coming in there needs to be players going out. Man United & Man City players are up there for players being transferred out. Injured players you expect but it seems players like Rashford haven’t shown the form of last season.

Form Guide
My favourite visual is the form guide. Three players are over the 40 point barrier for the last four game week, Watkins is almost at 50 points. Brighton have one of the best runs from GW10 but their players aren’t doing great.

Lets look at Brighton.
Top scorer is Mitoma. He also the most owned. 5 points ahead of March who may not play. When you compare their points to Watkins there is a big gap but is it time for them to turn it around?

But what about the AI question. I’m asking AI this question each game week to see how it responds.
Question – Best 6 players to pick for GW10 23/24 in FPL
Answer –
I can help you with that. Here are some of the best players to consider for your Fantasy Premier League (FPL) team in game week 10 of the 2023/24 season:
- Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.9m) – Liverpool: Alexander-Arnold has a favorable fixture against Nottingham Forest (H) in game week 10 and is expected to deliver both attacking and defensive returns. He has created 10 chances this season, with an Expected Assists (xA) of 0.69 1.
- Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) – Liverpool: Salah is the highest-scoring player in the game and has scored seven goals and four assists with an xG of 6.63 (second overall) and an xA of 2.86 (fourth overall). Liverpool has a plum home fixture against Nottingham Forest in game week 10 1.
- Ollie Watkins (£8.2m) – Aston Villa: Watkins is currently the highest-scoring forward in the game, with five goals and eight assists this season. Aston Villa has a favorable fixture against Luton (H) in game week 10 1.
- Ben Chilwell (£6.5m) – Chelsea: Chilwell has been in excellent form, scoring two goals and providing two assists this season. Chelsea has a favorable fixture against Norwich City (A) in game week 10 2.
- Phil Foden (£9.5m) – Manchester City: Foden has been in excellent form, scoring three goals and providing two assists this season. Manchester City has a favorable fixture against Burnley (H) in game week 10 2.
- Ivan Toney (£7.5m) – Brentford: Toney has scored four goals and provided three assists this season and is considered a reliable asset for Brentford’s attack. Brentford faces Southampton (A) in game week 10 2.
Now this was an interesting response because of the following.
Ben Chilwell is injured and Chelsea aren’t playing Norwich.
Phil Foden price is incorrect and City are playing Man United
Ivan Toney is currently banned.
As I have previously stated this question and response is on here so I can track what it tells me. The first few choices are ok 🙂
Lets see what happens in GW10 and its another Friday night game.
